Position-type Control & Speed-type Control
These concept were clearly defined when DDC (Direct Digital Control) were introduced. They are identified as follows.
- 1.Speed-type Control
- Is a control type which controller outputs the manipulated variable of the control object to adjust. Since it simply gives the changed amount from the previous output value, it has the advantages of easy addition of multiple results as well as keeps the control object at its position in emergency case.
- In consideration of safety and reliability, there are many cases where this control type is preferably employed.
- 2.Position-type Control
- Is a control type which controller outputs the absolute value of the control object to take within the range.
- It is easy to understand since the relation to the control object is clear.
