Here present some typical questions and answers.
Q. Is it required to adjust the training kit and software after purchase?
A. Since everything are adjusted upon shipment, you are not required to adjust anything. With regard to the user adjustable portions described in the manual, you may adjust in accordance with the manual.
Q. Is a note type P/C applicable?
A. PC card is available. Please contact us.
Q. Is it possible to apply PID control for the inverted pendulum?
A. Our PID controller is not applicable since its cycle time is too long (approx. 100ms) for the purpose. Provided with the PID controller of cycle time less than 30ms, it may be possible to apply PID control for only stabilizing function.
Q. Is the pendulum mechanism alone on sale?
A. Certainly yes. The pendulum mechanism alone is on sale at 400,000 Yen (Tax not included).
Q. Do you accommodate any request to change the specification or modify the pendulum mechanism?
A. We accept such requests. Please contact us.
Q. Are the instruction guidance available?
A. Certainly they are included. The textbooks and videotapes (70min) can be applicable for the purpose. Use of this videotapes is recommended for easy learning.
Q. What are the contents of the videotapes and textbooks?
A. Our videotapes are prepared to cover the basic knowledge of Fuzzy control and the procedures to create the rules for Fuzzy control of the swing-up inverted pendulum while using the training kit and P/C windows. Since the sample rules (3 inputs, 1 output, 11 rules) for the swing-up inverted pendulum control is provided, you can analyze or check the rules.

Q. Is any optional kit to extend this experiment on sale?
A. Since it is the final purpose to master Fuzzy control for the swing-up inverted pendulum in this course, there is no optional kit available for extension. However, "Water Level Fuzzy & PID Control Training Kit" is available and such components as control software, analog interface and PCI card used in this course are commonly applicable so as to cut your expense.
